Chris Rice is no newbie when it comes to songwriting. However, he IS new to us. A friend introduced us to Chris's music a couple of weeks ago, and we were instantly hooked. He's got an amazing way of mixing folk melodies in with simple yet intricate lyrics...then on the same album he'll throw in some good rock grooves and catchy phrases.
His songs are inspirational, heartfelt, and deep - and interestingly enough - very easy to listen to and understand. My personal favorite CD is "Short Term Memories". I absolutely can't get enough of this CD. One day I think it played 8 times while I was working on websites and I never got tired of it.
