PreSonus - the World's smallest control surface - now shipping from Sweetwater!

We have started receiving the curiously-small control surface known as the FaderPort. This little gadget features transport control for your DAW, shortcut buttons to jump between windows, as well as mute, solo, and record buttons.

Most importantly, though, it has a fader. Yep, just one. I know, most of your sessions probably use more than one track, and you're wondering how useful a single-fader control surface could be. Very, it turns out. PreSonus looked at how people used their control surfaces, and found something amazing. Whether people have 8 faders or 80, they tend to only use one at a time, writing automation track by track.

So for most of us, all of those extra faders take up space and cost more money, but we could probably live with just one. Enter the FaderPort. It's not as much a control surface, as a digital pen for writing automation. That, combined with it's low price tag, small footprint, and handy buttons and shortcut keys make it a very cool little addition to just about any software-based recording system.

It is MAC and Windows compatible, and works with all major recording applications, including Pro Tools (via HUI emulation), Cubase, Nuendo, Sonar, Digital Performer, and more.
