The Songwriters Recording Studio is dedicated to providing everything you need to have a complete package from one company you can trust. Whether you need copies of your radio jingle to send to the stations, or a "shelf ready" CD to sell at your gigs, we can handle the job for you. We can even set up a website for you with online CD sales coming directly to you!
Due to copyright laws, we can only accept original material for duplication. We burn our CD's at 16x on Taiyo Yuden pro discs for high quality duplication. We have found that these discs are the most compatible with players around the world, and are also the least likely to produce bad discs. Our duplicators test the disc, burn it, and scan for errors before ejecting the CD.
Our printing is done by a 2400dpi CD printer in full color. You won't get stickly labels here. Not only are they messy, but many cars will no longer play a CD with a paper label stuck to it. After 50 to 100 spins, the label begins to peel up and causes damage to the delicate parts of the vehicle's disc drive. You can be confident that when you order CD's here, you'll get full color printing, directly on the CD surface.
Our inserts and tray cards are printed by a professional printing press. These are 4 color processed, and are the quality you'd expect to see on a shelf in a retail store. Our prices are to the right. Let us know if you have any questions!
Inserts come in quantities of 1000 due to the cost of printing. All inserts include 1000 traycards as well. Printing 1000 at a printing press is actually much cheaper than printing 50 from an office printer.
Please note that "Inserts" refer to the paper in the front of the CD. "Traycards" refer to the paper beneath the black tray of the CD case. "Panels" are the number of sides that can be printed. For example, a "2 Panel Insert" would have no fold. It would simply be a front and back insert. A "4 Panel Insert" looks like your typical greeting card. It has 1 fold and 4 printable sides - 2 outside and 2 inside.
The numbers 4, 1, 0, and K refer to the printing process. "4" means full color, "1" is for 1 color, "0" means a blank panel, and "K" stands for black printing. So, a 4/1 insert would mean that all outside panels are in full color and all inside panels are 1 color. The typical traycard is 4/0 because there is only printing on the outside. To recap, if you want a 4 Panel 4/4 insert, you are asking for a greeting card style insert with full color on both the outside and inside panels. Clear as mud?
